Book Groups

Today we held our first book group discussion meetings. All the students read a section of the books they are studying and met to talk through what they had read. It was great to see the in-depth discussions that are already happening. If groups are awesome for a few sessions in a row, they will get to 'unlock crackers' - in other words, bring snacks to help the discussion flow!

Here are some of the groups that met in Rm 12.

The Dark is Rising

Boy Overboard and Among the Hidden

Dairy Queen

Running Out of Time

AFL

We had our first AFL (Aussie Rules) lesson today, learning how to drop punt. Luckily for the targets, most people were not super accurate.

Electricity

Today in Science we did a bit of experimenting with batteries, lightbulbs, engines, LEDs and really annoying buzzers.

Weekly Tasks - Term 4, Week 2

Here is this week's task sheet - Term 4, Week 2.

X-wing Smash!

Last Friday we finally smashed up the X-wing, which was annoyingly large and starting to fall apart. Some people took pieces home and we smashed the rest. Good times.

Ripping the X-wing apart.

Andrew finds a time capsule letter from the
distant past. Like a month ago.

Thomas rips the guts out, i.e. untapes the broomsticks.

The smashing. We knew those lightsabers
would eventually come in handy.

More smashing. Josh - a maths book is not a weapon.

Squished X-wing.

This wing will fit in my bag, right?
