The production is approaching crazy fast, so make sure you are putting lots of effort into learning your lines! Let your teacher know if you are having trouble coping with tasks and production commitments.

Weekly Tasks - Term 3, Week 5

Here are the tasks for Term 3, Week 5. Your major task this week is writing an essay about a song.

Remember to use the time you have at school wisely - you should be able to achieve most of your tasks during class time if you don't waste any time. Make sure your tasks are finished by morning tea on Friday so you can have some time for your Passion Project.

Olympic Fun

For the last few weeks we have been learning about the Olympics and following the sports with interest. This week students had to organise some Olympic events and run them for the class, with the emphasis being on fun rather than sporting prowess. Here are some photos - good luck guessing the events!

Weekly Tasks - Term 3, Week 4

Note that you will need to have written a draft of your sports poem before the English lesson on Wednesday. 

Book Groups

For the next few weeks students from all three classes will be working together in book groups. They read a few chapters at a time, then meet to discuss them twice a week. If some groups are very organised and having thoughtful discussions, they will get to 'unlock crackers' and bring some in food to aid their discussions.

Note that there is an art activity and a writing activity that you can't start until Wednesday, so make sure you get some of the other things done on Monday and Tuesday so you aren't too busy in the second half of the week.

You have two weeks for the Olympics project, but you need to have completed half of it by this Friday.

Remember, if you are interested in a getting a speaking role in the production, make sure you have read the whole production carefully. Think about what the different characters are like and how you could get their personalities across in your auditions.
