A Reminder

Kia ora koutou katoa, it has been great for us to touch base with you over the last few days via email, zoom meetings, google classrooms, the Kauri blog and your personal blogs. Thank you for being in contact with your classmates and with the teachers as well. We have really enjoyed hearing how life at home is going for you and the ways in which you are managing your time constructively and with a lot of positivity too! A reminder that today is the last day of the school term, so that means it is two weeks of holidays and then we will resume home learning (more about what this looks like towards the end of the holidays). In the meantime, please keep in contact with each other and with us.

There is a list of activities for health and well-being (Te Whare Tapa Wha activities) posted on the Kauri blog. The list has many suggestions which may be of help to you and your family during this time. We recommend you choose one activity from every area to do each day. Keep it interesting and have fun! If you would like to record your activities on your blog or google classroom for your classmates to read that would be fantastic.

Zoom meetings

We are emailing you a sign up sheet for Zoom meetings through the google classroom. The meetings will be on Thursday and Friday - please choose one time and put your name in.

Lockdown activities

Here is a list of activities you can do during the lockdown. We can keep adding to it as we think of more things.
Keep in mind - you will never have this much free time again so you may as well make the most of it! It would be great if you posted what you're doing on the blog, then other people can get ideas from you, and you can get ideas from them. Also, it could be funny.

We're in lockdown!

Relax, get your head around the new conditions you’re living in. Talk at home about how you are feeling. Think about some of the opportunities that you have now that you wouldn’t have had the time to do before, e.g. paint that masterpiece, finish that 5000 piece puzzle.

The three Kauri teachers are going to meet and figure out what it will look like for us in the next few weeks. For now, check out the amended task sheet (this applies to all three classes) and carry on with these tasks.

Also - the Mission Fair has been postponed (obviously).
