Science Fair holiday info
Our school Science Fair will be held in Week 10 of Term 2. You may want to start thinking about your science fair topic during the holidays. You will need to tell us your topic early in Term 2.
Things to remember:
Things to remember:
- Choose a topic you are interested in, so you enjoy working on it.
- Your project can be as simple or detailed as you like - pick something that is achievable for you, knowing the time you have available. Most of the work will be done at home.
- Make sure your investigation includes a question that you can answer by doing a test (not just research).
- The top 10 projects go on to the NIWA Wellington Science Fair.
- There is lots of useful information about the Wellington Science Fair on the official website: www.sciencefair.org.nz
- Check out the list of prizes - it might help you think of a topic.
- If you want more information, there are quite a few old posts on our blog with pictures and info about the Science Fair. On the blog, search for Science Fair, or use this URL: http://stbensfab.blogspot.co.nz/search?q=science+fair
- We will do some lessons next term so you will know exactly what you have to do for your project.
